The project social media channels are full of great advice and comment on the direction the project should be moving and the message we should be getting out. Telegram is particularly vocal. So why not give the community back some control?
After all, the Project Hydro smart contracts and dApp Store are all open source, meaning that they can be tweaked, improved and modified by anyone (with some oversight of course); why can’t Hydro content and communication be the same? Can we open source Project Hydro social media, content, and marketing?
Starting today we are going to begin testing the Hydro Community Content Initiative, a program that gives the community the chance to create content, create tweets, write articles and help market the project.
So what are we opening up?
We will post one community drafted tweet a day on @HydroBlockchain.
The number posted may increase over time but we will start with one – unless the interaction/discussion takes off.
This can be a fresh tweet or a sensible interaction with a third party tweet — the choice is yours.
We have had some interest in posting community created articles and this is something we want to do. So if you want your article to be posted on ProjectHydro.org then please let us know.

We will take advice on marketing and action those that we can — remember the marketing budget is essentially zero so you need to be creative (we can’t afford to advertise on Monday Night Football)
- All posts are subject to editing
- We won’t post anything illegal, misleading, or inaccurate
- Money is not no object — we have limited funds
- We will not tag crypto celebrities with shilly tweets
- If we don’t get any suitable content then it wont get posted.
